Colour Poem

WALT to use descriptive language to help create an image (picture) in our reader's head

Success Criteria

• Use adjectives to describe the noun
• Use adverbs to describe the verb (describe how the action is happening)
• Use a range of verbs to explain what is happening
• Use a range of nouns that help us identify with a colour

EXAMPLES

Black is the Colour of…….

• A wicked witch zooming dangerously from castle to castle in search of potions
• A lazy cat waiting patiently by the roaring fire for its night-time feed
• A  majestic panther stalking its prey tactfully through the dense forest
• A piece of licorice inviting me to sneak it from the brightly coloured box

• Slippery lipstick running down my face

What was challenging about your Passion Project? Trying to write my script.

I did not get my Passion Project Movie done so I can't show you. Sorry):

Describe your passion project. What was your learning in it? What were you trying to produce      I learnt how to video a movie because I used to not be able to video a movie. I was trying to produce a movie that would have good sound effects in it.

How far did you get with your passion project? What would have helped you to get further?

About halfway into my movie because I started my movie but I did not finish it.                                      One more day of Passion Project groups

What was the most challenging part of your passion project?

Having to try get all the sound effects just right.  

What was surprising about your passion project?

That I actually did not finish it.              

Did you follow your plan well? Why or why not?

My plan just about worked but I did not finish it and in my plan said I will finish it so yea.          

Which learning muscles did you use the most while you were working on your passion project?

I  persevered when I kept on getting the words wrong in my script.    

How did you use each one?

I used Managing distractions to make my movie.

How to work out 4-time tables lets start easy and get harder
How to work out 4x4 so you go 4x2=8 and then do it again So you 8+8 and that =16

RAINBOW PAPER

I think that the experiment going to make a rainbow with Red,Blue,Yellow and orange but it made a Rainbow with green and purple. It did not turn out as I expected.

Dear Colin,

Thank you for giving up your time from work to come with us on camp. I liked it when you gave me courage in the skipping competition.

My favourite part of camp was the skipping rope competition, it was very fun to make. My team wouldn't of come 1st without you. When I first got to your skipping rope competition I was very excited, it felt like I was about to explode. You always make me feel better when you say something nice like are you ok, or something like that.

At the park when the hub was doing that competition thing you faced my team and still supported me. It was really fun to play against you because you are a competitive guy. Sometime’s I think about how supportive you are, you are the most supportive and nicest  guy I have ever met.

At weka you helped my team a little bit with the bamboo little house craft even though we already had a adult. It was really fun how you were in that one you are a good crafting person. It would have been really fun if you were at Weka.     

Thank you for everything that you have done at camp Omatua and Weka, I enjoyed you, thank you.

Star wars 7

On Saturday last year, I when to the movies to watch star wars episode 7. It was a terrific movie lightsabers were going everywhere. Also,  Han Solo was really old same as Luke Skywalker. It was my favourite movie since the Star Wars Return of the Jedi. Me, my mum and my dad had a drink of something like coca cola and had a big bowl of popcorn. At the end of the movie, I was wanting to go and watch it again because... IT WAS AWESOME

                    

  

My favourite book

My favourite book is James and the Giant Peach. James and the Giant Peach is written by Roald Dahl. Roald Dahl is a very famous Writer. I like him because of his made up stories most of them have food in them. This is one that I can not stop reading. My favourite character  is James because he is like me, likes to explore places we haven't been. My favourite part is when the peach lands on the big tower. It is pretty cool when the peach  rolled off the cliff side.

My First Blog Post 2016

Hello my name is Tobias Im a year 5 at Parkvale school. My favourite sport is surfing because I love getting in the water and having fun. Last weekend we went to Shine falls. The walk  was so long it took as 1 hour to get to the waterfall I did not give up. As we were there I didside to swim with the eels it was quiet scary . I liked the walk because there were sheep that you Code pat.
